Restaurant Style Red Sauce Pasta Recipe
Red sauce pasta a.k.a Penne Arabiata is the easiest Pasta to make. It only takes three main ingredients to cook a good red sauce pasta i.e Pasta, Tomato Puree, and Spices. You can cook it for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Enjoy it with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening or pair it with your favorite pint of beer. And not to forget, it’s healthy as you can add as many vegetables as you like. I like my pasta with lots of broccoli, mushrooms, and sweet corn. Oh, it tastes so good. Let’s start our Restaurant Style Red Sauce Pasta Recipe.
Let’s start with all the ingredients that you would need for the Restaurant Style Red Sauce Pasta.
Ingredients You Need For Restaurant Style Red Sauce Pasta Recipe
- Any type of Pasta; Penne, Macaron or Tortiglioni
- 2 -3 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 -3 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 pinch of black pepper powder
- Tomato Puree (Boil 6-8 tomatoes for 8-10 minutes. Now Blanch, Peel, and Crush. )
- Mushrooms, Sweet Corn, Broccoli and Capsicum (You can use any other vegetable that you like)
- Salt to taste
Once you have gathered all the ingredients, it’s time to boil the pasta.
Step 1: Add water, salt, and pasta in a large vessel.
Step 2: Boil Pasta for 8-10 minutes
Step 3: Now drain the pasta and keep aside.
It’s time to cook the restaurant-style red sauce pasta. Follow the below steps:
Step 1: Add 2 tablespoon olive oil to the pan and heat for 30 seconds. Now mix garlic into oil and cook for 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is brown and fragrant.
Step 2: Add tomato puree to the pan and stir for 1-2 minutes. Turn heat to low; simmer sauce until thickened. This could take up to 10-15 minutes. Add black pepper powder and salt to taste and stir well.
Step 3: Add 2 tablespoon dried oregano, 1 tablespoon chilli flakes and 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup to the sauce and mix well.
Step 4: Add Capsicum, Mushroom, Sweet Corn and Brocolli to the sauce and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
Step 5: Now add Pasta to the Pan and mix well. Turn off the flame and mix well until pasta is covered in the sauce.
If you wish to use the sauce later, first cool it completely and then transfer to a freezer bag or freezer-safe container and freeze until solid. Reheat the sauce in a pan over low heat and use it again.
